CourtOnCamera have considerable experience having photographed many weddings of varied denominations in a multitude of locations - from Castles and Synagogues to Cathedrals. They are professionally qualified members of the British Institute of Professional Photographers (Founded 1901) and Master Photographers Association (Founded 1952), but most importantly what they offer is a personal service second to none.
CourtOnCamera believe in having fun, this is your special day not theirs, photography is an important part of the day but not THE important part. The “formals” they try to complete quickly but with appropriate good humour and without fuss. This leaves time for you to be alone together with only the camera in accompaniment – this where your favourite photographs are often taken.

CourtOnCamera’s prices are as comprehensive as they can make them – They try to avoid hidden extras or nasty surprises, all prices are guaranteed when the contract is signed.
Approximately 4 weeks before your wedding at a meeting together where they plan together with you the photographs for your day, they take an “engagement photograph” of yourself and fiancée; these are placed in an envelope on the table at the reception for your guests to take away; it also discreetly directs them to my website where the wedding photographs can be viewed – this is at no extra cost.
All coverage is from the Bridal Preparation up to and including to the first dance, this helps to obtain a comprehensive set of images and allows inbuilt flexibility.
Whilst they do advertise in the local Church Magazine and a few very select locations , the majority of CourtOnCamera’s work is through recommendation.

A final, but they feel very important point: CourtOnCamera have been invited by a number of beautiful venues to join their recommended photographers list – this invitation and recommendation is based solely on the quality of their work, feedback from other wedding professionals and most importantly feedback from the Bride and Groom.
To you the Bride and Groom they can say quite honestly and openly that this is why they have received the venue’s recommendation and that no monies have changed hands to secure it – this is a significant and integral part of their professional work! You can be assured that they have not entered into any agreement which would have in any way compromised their personal or professional integrity.

If CourtOnCamera are recommended to you by a venue it is because of a genuine desire to enable you to have your dream day CourtOnCamera and for no other reason.
Not all photographers are Professionals: At my Cousin’s Wedding which I attended as a guest a number of years ago. The photographers (there were 2) appeared to have little control and seemed totally at a loss when dealing with even simple groups (I was a guest and stayed well and truly in the background). My Aunt (the Groom’s Mother) was also perplexed – “You seem very familiar” she said to one of the photographers “I should be – I am your Postman” he said. This is a true story!
Choosing a Professional Photographer?
There are really only two PROFESSIONAL organisations of note to consider they are the :
British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) - Established in 1901, the British Institute of Professional Photography has gained international recognition as the leading qualifying body for professional photographers. There are over 3500 members covering every type of photography from aerial photography to underwater photography. Use our search engine to find qualified professional photographers anywhere in the UK or overseas.
And the:
Master Photographers Association (MPA) - The MPA is the professional organisation for Master Photographers. All qualified members adhere to a strict Code of Conduct and have undergone qualification to at least Licentiate standard. Established over 50 years ago, the MPA is unique in that it only allows full-time professional photographers to remain in membership. Each must have undergone a rigorous assessment of their work.
You only have one chance to get it right and a professional will have the experience and knowledge to cope with all possible eventualities and still turn out a great set of pictures, that you can treasure forever.

You may have considered using a friend of the family, or other guest's to take the images. While the financial aspect of this may seem attractive, it's important to consider what experience they have and what they would do should it be raining, for example, and all the images had to be taken indoors. Also, how efficient will they be at organising people into groupings, if you should want them. A professional will obviously cost more, but it will be one less thing to worry about on the day.
Having ruled out a non-professional, you may also consider a part-time (semi-professional) wedding photographer (such as my Aunt’s Postman) . They will be cheaper than a full-time professional, but will probably not have the support network that comes with a full-time photographer. They may not have undergone any training and also may flounder when it comes to demanding conditions, such as harsh sunlight, high winds, rain, dark skies, shooting into the sunlight, etc.

Using a full time Master Photographer will be well worth the investment. Professionals also come in different levels of competence, but what is really important is that you like the pictures and get on well with the photographer who will be shooting your pictures on the day.
Finally, a good professional photographer will have professional indemnity insurance, should the worst happen. You may also take out insurance yourself to cover against photography failure.
