The lighting of the Unity candle may be used to symbilise the coming together of the two families at a wedding. The ceremony may be conducted at any time during your wedding day. Sometimes the unity candle ceremony forms part of the wedding ceremony and sometimes it is performed after your wedding. There are generally five candles used for the ceremony. Two tapers which are used by the bride and bridegroom's mothers or other close family member to light two larger candles. The two larger candles are used to light the main unity cande.

This ceremony is generally non religious so may be performed at any type of wedding service or ceremony.

The unity candle may be relit in future years to celebrate each year of marriage and makes a very personal momento of your wedding day.

There are verious choices of wording for your ceremony and any wording may be personalised to suit your special day.
